Is something not working as it should? Or do you have a suggestion to making things even better? Your question may be listed below, and if not – feel free to share it with the rest of the Toca Boca community and we’ll see what we can do!
    • Q
Hey – where are the Android games?
    • A
At the moment, we only have products for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. But we think that the important thing when making games for kids is the touchscreen, rather than the manufacturer. So if enough people want them on Android we will speed up that process. Feel free to discuss the matter in our forum!
    • Q
What’s the difference between a digital toy and a game?
    • A
They are related of course, but there are a few differences. First and foremost, toys don’t have rules. Toys can be played with in any way and only your imagination sets those boundaries. In that sense, toys are more open ended and can be played with in many different ways. Digital toys are the same, but even more versatile since so many can fit in each device. Games, however, have specific rules and a way of playing them that is “the right way” of doing it. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is different. At Toca Boca we’ll be experimenting with both types, but we think there are too few digital toys for kids that challenge and stimulate them. So that’s where we’re focusing our efforts at the moment.
    • Q
Do you really expect kids to have their own iPads or iPhones?
    • A
No, but we do think that kids can borrow them from their parents from time to time. The parents should be responsible for any purchases made, which is one of the reasons why we don’t have any in-app purchases in our products. That way, no unwanted purchases are made by mistake.
    • Q
I want to play too! Where are the parents’ games?
    • A
We only make games and toys for kids. But we try to make them in a way so you as a parent can join in and play together with your kids. And of course, there’s always a chance to have a quick session of your own after they have gone to bed...
